The Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level Farm Science Center established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi at Siris District Aurangabad for speedy transfer of technology to the farmers’ fields. The operational area of this Krishi Vigyan Kendra comes under the South Bihar Alluvial Zone (b). Socio-economic background of the innovator:
Sri Amresh Singh belongs to poor family. He could not continue his studies after 10+2 due it poor economic condition. He started helping his father in agriculture. His father use to cultivate cereals crop, then he started cultivating vegetables like tomato throughout the year. Cost of cultivation of 1 acre was 25 to 30 thousand and net profit he earned 65 to 70 thousand.
